I pretty much agree that vibration is NOT a concern. As far as your cruising speed, if you only do an "occasional" blast of 85mph+, there's no reason why you couldn't do that part solo and she can just hang back at a speed within her comfort zone. Then you two can join up afterwards. To my recollection, that's why I wanted my own bike years ago when I first started riding...HE occasionally wanted to do 110 mph+ and I didn't. Also keep in mind that what speed she might enjoy as a passenger may not necessarily be what she will be comfortable with as a "rider," especially if this will be her first bike. I am 5' 1 ½" , 115 lbs. and I LOVE this bike; it was the only stock one that fit me as well. Good luck to you both.
